Sea Buckthorn, or palmitoleic acid, is nature's answer to beautiful skin. This high powered ingredient contains Omega - 7 fatty acid (a natural component of the skin) is responsible for healing wounds, including treating burns. It doesn't end there, it also contains Vitamin E and C, which have proven to prevent wrinkles and reduce skin roughness. Deep wrinkles are also minimized with these two powerhouse ingredients.

Yes, Sea Buckthorn contains Omega - 3, 6, and 9 as well. It is the total package. These omega fatty acids are antioxidants which can prevent a dull dry look to skin and hair.

Its botanical name, Hippophae rhamnoides, means, "tree that makes the horse shine," referring to its ability to improve horses health and make their hair shiny and smooth.  

Contrary to what its name suggests, sea buckthorn oil does not come from the sea. It's actually derived from a shrub that belongs to the Elaeagnaceae family and grows in the mountainous and coastal areas of Asia and Europe.

It is renowned in Ayurvedic medicine as far back as 5,000 BC. In 12 BC, the ancient Greeks used it to treat various health issues.  

Sea buckthorn is:

1. Well-known today for its healing and rejuvenating effects on the skin.

2. When used topically, it's a great natural cleanser and exfoliator.

3. It can also help heal burns, cuts, wounds, sunburn, rashes, and other types of skin damage.
